Valledupar is located on the north of Valle of Cesar, between the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta and Perija's Serrania. Guatapuri's River has that name for the temperature they have and the language of the chimila that means ''agua fria''. That river is located on the cesar department of the Atlantic coast on Valledupar.
